As classes fill up quickly, and with so many good ones to choose from with limited space, its hard to not feel anxious and nervous that you aren't going to get into what you want to do. Do not fret! Here is what I recommend :)
I found that, not only personally, but with almost everyone else, they built their schedules very full, it’s hard not too! There are so many great classes I know you want to take part in, but realistically, mentally and physically, it is can be an exhausting weekend if you over pack it. I found that many of the women that filled their schedules to the brim, did not show up to those classes (the prior class can run over therefore not leaving you with enough time to get to your next location), or if they did, they were feeling a little bit beat (going from sunrise yoga, into trail running, right into hours of mountain biking, backed right into paddleboarding). WHEW! Those all sound so great, but holy smokes, I can almost guarantee you won’t be eating your dinner, your face will be sleeping in it.
What I would recommend: Pick the top 5 things you want to do. Are those lessons/classes several hours long? I would recommend only taking max two of those several hour courses in 1 day. Pair that up with some lighter classes in between, for example: cooking in the backcountry, outdoor photography, etc. Make sure to give yourself time for LUNCH! You are going to need that, and it’s delicious.
If you are still worried that the classes you want to take are going to be full, fear not. Many times, like I said above, ladies have over packed their day, their previous class ran over, they are exhausted, whatever it is, and they miss their class. That means that there is probably space in the class for you! I would recommend just showing up, and seeing if there is room for you. Maybe it is harder with classes like mountain biking, paddle boarding, kayaking and rock climbing where they only have a certain number of gear for ladies to use, but hey, you won’t know unless you go.
Don’t worry gals! It’s going to be okay, you’re going to have an amazing weekend doing all sorts of new fun activities, making tons of new friends and i’m so looking forward to meeting as many of you that I can.
